Nintendo 3DS – The first handheld video games console to offer a 3D gaming experience on the move
The 3DS is a portable game console that is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects that do not require 3D glasses or other accessories to view. It achieves complete immersion with its brilliant bright screen and 3D stereoscopic graphics on its upper screen. No video gaming console has ever displayed this feeling of space and depth before. The 3DS has a built in depth slider to allow you to adjust the intensity of the 3D or turn them off completely; all of the games and applications available on the 3DS can be played in 2D.
One fantastic element of the 3DS experience is the built in 3D camera (utilising two outward-facing lenses) that allows you to take eye-popping images of whatever you like. The Nintendo 3DS utilises a built in motion sensor and a gyro sensor to react to each tilt of the system and controlled movement in motion compatible Nintendo 3DS games.
The console comes with various pre-loaded applications including an online distribution store called Nintendo eShop, an internet Browser, Netflix, YouTube streaming services, Hulu Plus, Nintendo’s social networking service called Miiverse, a messaging service called Nintendo Letter Box, Nintendo video and Mii Maker. Most of the available DS titles are compatible with the 3DS.
