Japanese company Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. is a developer and publisher of trading card, anime, toys and slot machines but is perhaps best known worldwide for its various popular video games series such as Castlevania, Dance Dance Revolution, Frogger, Suikoden, Metal Gear, Pro Evolution Soccer and Silent Hill. In 2012 they purchased Hudson soft and consequently acquired franchises including Star Soldier and Bomberman. They achieved particular success in the 00s with the publication of the Universal Interactive produced Crash Bandicoot games. Currently, Konami is the fifth-largest game company in the world by revenue.
