Xbox One was first announced by Microsoft in May 2013, and then released worldwide during the year that followed. The Xbox One is the successor of Microsoft’s earlier gaming consoles; the Xbox and the Xbox 360. The marketing of the Xbox One highlights that this console is more than just a games console. Microsoft would like users to utilise the Xbox One as more of an entertainment hub within the living room. Features such as split screen between TV and video games, skype calls and voice control all support this claim.
In 2016, Microsoft released the Xbox One S, which is an upgraded version of the original. The Xbox One S comes with HDR as well as a 4K Blu-ray player.
There are several games that are exclusive to the Xbox consoles. These games include popular titles such as Forza Motorsport and the Halo series.
